The Foran dal Mus geological path has been designed to offer park visitors the opportunity to fully grasp one of the most unusual and evocative aspects of this protected area: the extraordinary geological phenomena of the highest part of the Canin massif, all whilst walking above the longest cave in Italy.
These areas, dear to mountaineers and speleologists, encompass the charm of stone carved by water which implements its designs before descending into the bowels of the mountain, and into the homes of the spirits and fantastic beings that populate the legends of this area, and who have flowers and animals as their extraordinary companions. An attentive eye can find them this immense rock garden.
The project wants the visitor to pass consciously through unchanged places and be encouraged to not leave any permanent traces of their own passage.
Thus, there are no arrows, no interpretation boards, just a few metal plates with a QR Code and above all the new technology made available to those who want to know and understand the area while respecting the land on which they walk. Here, therefore, together with the printed guide, is a handy app that illustrates everything, or almost everything the route has to offer. And there are many things, including the secrets to discovering even more.
The park has therefore been enriched with a new element, one created without impact, in one of its most naturally and spiritually charged areas, showing everyone a new way of operating and an ancient respect for the soul of these places.
